31 Days of Weddings-Day 31: Elegant Barn Weddings

Here we are, at a close of our 31 Days of Weddings. I thought it would be appropriate to include a theme that has taken over the end of 2012-Elegant Barn weddings. These weddings, unlike just rustic style ones, include so much glamour and vintage accents that you wouldn’t think would pair with the rustic elements of nature and barn wood, but it does-and beautifully I might add.

Barn weddings themselves have a sense of history, charm and warmth to them, and adding glitzy elements to them can make them breathtakingly elegant.

Add drapery into the entrance way for that lush elegant feel right away.Image

You can also use lace accents on your table mixed with burlap or even real linens for a touch of elegance on your tables. Keep your centerpieces romantic with floral but keep it rustic by placing in mason jars or wine bottles.

We hope these last 31 days have inspired all of you to think outside the box for your wedding, and dare to have something different that is uniquely-YOU.

Happy New Year everyone! May 2013 be even better than 2012!

31 Days of Weddings-Day 7: 1920s/Gatsby Wedding

This theme is super fun, and can even get your guests involved!

The 1920’s was such a fun era, and has touches of sophistication incorporated but is overall just a fun festive party!

Your ceremony can add some glamour to it with drapery and heavier floral-but keep it light.Image

You can be truly in the theme with the dress you pick. Try something along these lines ImageImageImage

You can even include on your invitation to have guests dress in the decade as well.Image

No 1920s wedding would be complete with a champagne glass tower or chandeliersImageImage

For the cake-add touches of color or keep it simple-but add pearls or other accessories from the era to give it flair!Image
